As an amateur photographer looking for practice, I'm always on the hunt for
people who are willing to model for me. I find photography involving people one
of the more interesting areas to work with. If you're tempted to model for me,
hopefully this page will give you enough information to make up your mind.
People willing to model for me - anyone, really. See the flier for more details of some of the contemporary subcultures I'm interested in. Alternatively, you might just be an exhibitionist, have a passing interest in modelling, or are just looking for something fun to do.
I've got a few projects and photo essays that I'm working on at present. As I mentioned above, I'm quite interested in contemporary subcultures, a posh way of saying "Those out of the mainstream". Some of my projects involving them are to do with advocacy/awareness, others are just because people who self-define as those particular roles tend to have a visual distinctiveness about them. It's something I find interesting to capture.
I'm also after any opportunity to practice and improve my photography, so if you're interested in modelling but don't think you fit the above, don't worry. If you've got any ideas of your own you want to explore - themes, projects, and so on - that would be great too.
Depends. If it's something I'm enthusiastic about, I'll give you prints, digital copies of all raw images, and copies of all the pics I stick online after I've edited them. Plus I'll feed you - either cook you something or pay for a meal somewhere. I am slightly negotiable on this.
For other things, going halves on developing and film costs would be an option. This is still a really cheap way of getting some pictures of yourself taken, so don't dismiss it out of hand.
